Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Java Developer- Mobile Applicationfor a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in New York, NY. Responsibilities :
- Responsible for implementing of Apple's design principles interface guidelines and ability to work independently
- Responsible for implementing RESTful APIs and how to connect iOS applications to back-end services using asynchronous network
- Responsible for translating UI/UX wireframes into production ready code in mobile environments
- Responsible for developing mobile apps using Vue Native (preferred) or comparable framework (e.g. React Native)
- Demonstrate hands on development experience to develop in Java/JEE, Web Service and RESTful service rapidly
- Demonstrate moderate knowledge of Java JEE development concepts using the following tools/frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Eclipse, Maven, Jenkins Implement security for mobile and web services working with security teams
- Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously and produce high quality products; Strong problem solving and analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to assimilate new information, understand complex topics and arrive at sound analysis and judgment
- Develop specifications to integrate with legacy applications leveraging web services, messaging and enterprise service bus
- Contribute toward developing guidelines, standards and best practices Review platform specific detailed code components and ensure alignment of code to the defined solution
- Work with quality assurance team to define test environments and also non-functional test cases Work with infrastructure team to validate physical system requirements
- At least 5+ years of experience with Mobile/Java development and delivering mission critical, fault tolerant applications Demonstrated strong understanding of Apple's design principles interface guidelines and influencing the product owner Experience working in a Gitlab/GitHub based dev-ops environments and adhering best SDLC practices
- At least 3 years of strong hand on development experience to develop in Java/JEE, Web Service and RESTful service rapidly in fast moving projects; contributions to open source projects and products a plus
- Demonstrated at least 3 years of experience in Java/JavaScript/HTML development Strong Object-Oriented analysis and design skills including requirements analysis, Object Oriented design patterns, and UML; Deep knowledge of Mobile development , API Integration, and User Interface design
- Experience incorporating non-functional design aspects into the code components
- Experience with quality assurance process for testing applications including functional, non-functional and parallel testing
- Solid working experience in agile project delivery, following SCRUM practices, cross-functional contribution and excellent team collaboration capabilities
- Moderate understanding of Application resiliency, security, scalability and general performance concepts Working knowledge of OpenShift Container, WebSphere and mobile platforms
- Mobile development (iOS/Android), JavaScript frameworks (Vue Native ) , Java/JEE, JQuery, JUnit, Spring, Github/gitlab, Maven, Jenkin, open source contribution Additional Skills:Experience with Redhat Openshift Container
