Genesis10 is seeking a Software Engineer for a contract position with a financial services client located in New York, NY. This position can be remote but EST working hours are preferred.

Summary:

We are looking for a strong software engineer (React.js/Java/Python full-stack preferred) to join our clients' team building tools and platforms for the Internal Audit division.
Risk and Control Technology provides technology solutions that enable the firm to manage multiple aspects of non-financial risk such as technology, compliance and operational risks.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop components of the Internal Audit system used for audit planning, risk assessment and analytics.
Perform hands-on development; participate in architecture and design discussions, design reviews
Work closely with the global user group to support and enhance the applications to meet new requirements
Understand the business workflows to assist in analyzing and converting business requirements into technical specifications

Requirements:

5 - 7 + years software application development experience
Object-oriented design and development experience in Java
Web UI development experience with React.js
Understanding of UX design process for web based applications
Agile methodology experience
Experience with CI/CD and working with GitLab, Kubernetes preferred
Core Java experience
Basic database experience and familiar with document oriented DB technologies (MongoDB, Elastic)
BS/MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

Financial industry experience
Familiar with Test Driven Development
Conceptual understanding of Asynchronous-Event-based processing
Familiar with IT Risk or Technology controls
