Our client, a major Exchange with offices in NYC is seeking a Technical Project Manager for a long term Consulting Assignment. You must be able to work in the U.S. without Sponsorship. Role: Technical Project Manager Description: Plans, executes, monitors, controls, and comprehensively manages projects from initiation through to completion. Uses formal processes and tools to manage execution, teams, budgets, risks and changes to ensure business and technical requirements are fulfilled, internal and external stakeholders are satisfied and plan obligations regarding specifications, quality, costs and timeframes are met. Project Manager Position Responsibilities, Requirements • Drive a complex project with competing priorities and limitations to ensure client/internal customer satisfaction. • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across traditional and agile project lifecycles, often blending the disciplines to achieve optimal results throughout software/IT projects. • Communicates effectively with clients, stakeholders and colleagues. • Experience in creating, implementing, and maintaining progress, effort and cost tracking regimes. (Earned Value Management, effort/cost accounting, etc.) • Proactively identifies project risks and works with customer and technology leadership to effectively mitigate or manage. • Identifies dependencies between teams and monitors for effective delivery to downstream project activities. • Supports intra-project prioritization effort; ability to quickly align with shifting priorities, work packages and timelines. • Fluent in cloud-technology project concepts and terminology. Mastery of Software Development Lifecycle. • Familiar with project management knowledge areas of scope management, schedule management, cost management, quality management, communications management, risk management and stakeholder management. • Desire to grow in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Capable of working across geographies/time zones. • Tenacity to learn new subject areas and be resourceful in supporting team in issue resolution. • Is accountable for developing functional knowledge in order to become a full contributor to the team and its work distribution. Education, Professional Accomplishments, and Certifications • Education Required: Degree qualified in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or other related discipline, or equivalent work experience. • Experience Required: At least 7 years. • Has experience in project management delivery utilizing established project management principles. • Special Qualifications: o Exposure to Agile frameworks; certification desired o Exposure to PMI standards; PMI certification desired o Familiar with Project Management Body of Knowledge methodologies. o Understanding of software development principles, languages o Experience with Cloud-based software engineering projects and familiarity with cloud services and concepts. o Familiarity with mergers/acquisitions/divestments o Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence) o Fluent in Microsoft suite: MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel
