One-man custom woodworking outfit looking for a #2.
If you are well-acquainted with the fundamentals of woodworking, but have little in the way of job experience, this may be a good entry-level position for you. You will begin as an assistant and will train along the way to work independently.
If you are an experienced woodworker, looking to move away from production work and join a custom shop, I'm eager to hear from you as well.
In either case:
Familiarity with all major woodworking machinery is a must.
Aptitude for quality and precision work is indispensable.
Ability to lift heavy objects, work on your feet, observe safety protocols goes without saying.

For the moment this is a part-time job, 2-3 days a week, but it may well progress to full-time for the right candidate. Actual hours, as well as compensation, will depend on your experience and potential.
Our shop is located in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
