Wholesale Bakery - makers of Italian Breads, Rolls, and Cake seeking a qualified Route driver to fill either a full-time (5/6 nights) or part-time (3/4 consecutive nights) driving/delivering position.
Route delivery experienced preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
Clean driving record, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, must be able to lift bread boxes and load/unload box truck or cargo van by themselves.
Responsible, hardworking and honest, MUST be able to follow directions and be able to use a Map base App to load addresses and follow road directions while driving. Deliveries are made in either 14 ft box truck or Transit High Top Cargo Vans
This is a difficult to position to work while maintaining a full time - daytime job, we prefer to not have a scheduling conflict if you are looking to end route a specific time every day to work a 2nd job.
This position is paid ON THE BOOKS.
Sample work template:
Arrive at bakery at midnight.
Pack a certain # of orders from a prepared bulk stack of product at bakery.
Load truck in order of deliveries.
Deliver to restaurants, delis, pizzerias etc. on route in the order we assign.
Drive back to bakery and park truck on site when finished.
This is an 8-hour route. Routes predominantly leave S.I. (by Outerbridge) and deliver in NJ neighborhoods.
