We are looking for

Quant Developer with experience in Strats.Synechron is a leading Digital Transformation consulting firm and is working to Accelerate Digital initiatives for banks, asset managers, and insurance companies around the world. Synechron uniquely delivers these firms an end-to-end Digital, Consulting and Technology capabilities with expertise in wholesale banking, wealth management and insurance as well as emerging technologies like Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science. Based in New York, the company has 22 offices around the globe, with over 11,000 employees producing over $650M+ in annual revenue.

Responsibilities include:
  • Determine requirements and create valuation and risk management models that feed the Firm's books and records for the bank's holdings.
  • Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of current valuation and risk models, and make enhancements as needed.
  • Develop and apply analytics using advanced mathematical, statistical, quantitative, or econometric techniques.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers to analyse and advise on managing the risk of positions currently on the bank's balance sheet as well as future growth.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as CCAR.

Skills required:
  • Strong hands-on technology skills are a core requirement (e.g., statistical packages such as SAS or Python and C programming). Machine learning, expertise with Python/Dataiku a plus.
  • Effective communication & collaboration skills are required.
  • Three plus years of financial industry experience preferred.
  • Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or other quantitative/computational field is preferred
