- This team manages enterprise firmwide global applications. They handle approximately 150+ applications.
- All of these applications or a very high percentage have a SQL backend.
- There are constant upgrades, new releases -new versions that come out all the time and they need to be implemented.
- In addition, there are new applications constantly being added to the firm- all with a SQL backend.
- The ideal candidate MUST be very strong with SQL, because this person is going to be involved in the implementation of the applications as well as the 3rd level support troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Between implementation and support this could be 80% of the job.
- There is approximately 10% development using T SQL. This is because the candidate will have to do add-ons, enhancements, and sometimes new development on the SQL.
- This position is not for a SQL DBA, it is also not for a .NET developer.
- The title is systems analyst. You may find a SQL developer does this by I don't know if that is the right person to approach.
- We have had similar jobs in the past and titles have ranged from application engineer to SQL engineer, but any title you search for is fine as long as they can do the job.
- So candidates must have T-SQL as well as heavy support and implementation experience with applications that have a SQL backend.
