Senior Product Manager - Electronic Trading - Equities
Hybrid Onsite 3 days Midtown NYC $175-225k base + bonus We are seeking a Product Manager to enhance, analyze, design, market, and drive effective solutions for our electronic trading and algorithmic interfaces. The role will play a key part in planning the future enhancements and path our electronic trading offering. Execution Services, which is comprised of algorithmic and high touch trading solutions, is a focus and growing business. The Senior Product Manager for Electronic Execution will interface across departments and regions. This role will help design and implement cutting-edge internal execution management and monitoring platforms that facilitates efficient execution, effective monitoring, quick issue resolution, and differentiated servicing for our algorithmic and high touch trading solutions. The successful candidate must have experience with the technical aspects of electronic trading user interfaces and knowledge of trading analysis and statistics is a definite benefit. You will also be able to communicate effectively across all areas of the company, both verbally and in writing. This includes the global sales team for requirements capture, the technical team for design and specification, and the implementation and support teams for rollout and continuous improvements. The successful candidate will have a detailed understanding of business needs and the hands-on technical acumen to design and manage the delivery of solutions to meet them. Knowledge of sell-side electronic trading workflows, execution management systems, algorithmic trading platforms and market microstructure is preferred, as well as an understanding of program trading workflows and risk control management. Responsibilities- Contribute to the development of a clearly defined roadmap for the Electronic Execution platforms within the Americas.
- Work with stakeholders and end-users to develop a deep understanding of the user group to be serviced, the goals of that group, and the business drivers for implementing functionality.
- Define and manage projects that help advance the goals of electronic execution services.
- Coordinate across departments and regions to manage dependencies, training, follow through deployment and beyond.
- Produce product requirements documentation and partner with the Technology, Sales, Trading, Support and Marketing teams on implementation and release.
- Gather production feedback and iterate on existing functionality.
- Maintain a technical understanding of how our products are designed and built, and therefore be able to identify compromises between end-user needs, technical limitations, and time-to market goals.
- Be the day-to-day subject matter expert for global sales and support teams on our internal execution management systems.
- 5+ years working in electronic equities execution in either a development or product capacity.
- Expertise in equity trading and electronic trading user interfaces is required.
- Knowledge of execution management systems, algorithmic trading, fix protocol, risk controls and execution consulting workflows is a plus.
- Sound understanding of the basic technical components required to deliver advanced solutions in this space.
- Ability to develop and write technical requirements and specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage cross-functionally to facilitate delivery in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing day-to-day priorities.
- Ability to take ownership and work independently.
- Experience with trading analytics preferred.
