(Reasonable accommodations for medical and religious objections will be considered.)Cox Automotive is looking for a Senior Software Engineering to join the uniFI team which provides Finance services to Cox Automotive renown Finance & Insurance application. The uniFI team owns and manages every aspect of Finance related product to dealers and lenders.As the Senior Software Engineer within the unFI team, you will be responsible in working collaboratively with your fellow team members, providing solutioning in diverse technologies serving uniFI products F&I system. To be successful in this role, you must be able to work effectively in an agile, fast-paced cross-functional environment while maintaining good communication with fellow team members and management. The right candidate for this role should possess experience leading positive change and innovative solutions and fostering effective engineering culture.Technology We Use: Python, Django, Terraform and AWSResponsibilities
  • Build and integrate new architecture, frameworks, technologies, and everything that makes for great software.
  • Provide systems design, development, programming, and support for the applications/tools based in Python/Django framework, Terraform and AWS technologies.
  • Develop infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and contribute to cloud migration project.
  • Play an active role in the design and development of new code
  • Design, develop and implement unit and scenario testing for existing code base and for new functionality under development, using a strong understanding of design patterns
  • Serve as a technical expert in the evaluation and testing of the capabilities, characteristics, and requirements of existing and emerging information systems technologies.
  • Own and support applications and tools from development to operations, contributing to improve quality and efficiency with standard practices for software engineering and DevOps.
  • Collaborate with team members on best practices, code reviews, internal tools, and process improvements.
  • Make recommendations as to feasibility of implementation of modified or new technologies and / or frameworks
  • Participate in scrum agile development process
Qualifications
  • Solid knowledge of programming fundamentals-algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and paradigms
  • 5-7 years of experience building successful products.
  • 3+ working experience in Python/Django. Equivalent Java or .net experience is acceptable.
  • 1+ working experience in Terraform and AWS.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
  • Take the initiative to find new ways to solve problems. You help the team understand your point of view and advocate for great solutions.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology and apply knowledge to solve technical and business problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of industry development, deployment processes and agile development methodologies.
Preferred skills & experience
  • Strong understanding of AWS and related technologies, including Kubernetes, ECS and Fargate
  • Experience with AWS Identity Access Management.
  • Experience building, tuning, and supporting large scale, high-availability SaaS platforms
  • Experience with modern front-end technologies such as react or other single page application frameworks and their interactions with APIs
  • Experience leading and implementing projects with API-first approach
  • Experience operating in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
