Location: New York City, NY (4 to 5 times a month onsite) Hire Type: Contract (3-6 months) Position Summary: The Travel Applications Specialist focuses in three major areas - Tier 2 & 3 Support for client's global travel application, Travel Application Site administration, and Travel Application Site maintenance. In addition, there will be assigned Projects & Other Duties. Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 5-7 years travel Industry experience preferred and/or equivalent technology background or practical experience Preference will be given to candidates with a technology background or practical experience with travel mid-office, online booking applications or other related travel technology GDS proficiency, Sabre preferred Project management experience preferred, specifically in managing initiatives with a diverse set of project stakeholders and cross-functional teams Practical experience developing and documenting technical processes preferred Exceptional customer service skills Ability to work under pressure and effectively multi-task while maintaining professional rapport with team members, clients and external vendors Ability to perform in a team environment Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong verbal, written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills Skilled in usage of various software application packages to include: Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/ Powerpoint) Sharepoint and Microsoft Project experience a plus Due the nature of the global expanse of the client Travel Program, flexibility of extended work hours as needed, is required Ability to travel several times per year as needed, for internal meetings, company visits, etc. - Soumen Mondal
