We can provide you with customized end-to-end solutions that drive business value.OverviewAs a Senior Java Developer/Lead (KDB), you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to work on complex technical requirements. You should be familiar with distributed systems, OOD principles, and have strong software engineering skills. Experience within the investment banking domain, using equity derivatives, and/or financial instruments will be beneficial to this role.

Additional Information – New York OnlyThe base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with New York law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York is $140k-$150k/year & benefits (see below). Responsibilities
  • Develop high quality, secure, scalable software solutions based on technical requirement specifications and design artifacts within the expected time and budget
  • Assist team members in the development of applications, components, system-to-system interfaces and complete software solutions
  • Work with the project team to meet scheduled due dates while identifying emerging issues, recommending solutions for problems, independently performing assigned tasks, and performing production incident management
RequirementsYou are:
  • A Core Java Developer/Lead with hands-on KDB experience
  • Coming from a strong technical background, and are knowledgeable in Object Oriented Design and Core Java with the focus on performance/concurrency
  • Experienced in distributed KDB, HDB/RDB, Tickerplant, big data analysis, Unix, SQL (Python, DevOps, GPFS preferred)
  • Highly analytical with strong software engineering skills, a logical approach to problem solving, able to work in a fast-paced environment liaising with demanding stakeholders to understand complex requirements, and able to prioritize work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Experienced in Investment Banking
  • Experienced in Spring/Spring Boot/JPA
  • Experienced with scripting languages such as Python, ksh and/or bash on Linux
  • Knowledgeable in transactional DB such as Sybase
  • Familiar with and/or experienced in distributed systems
  • Familiar with git and forking workflow
  • Familiar with equity derivatives or financial instruments in general
