System Engineer

Location: Location: 7 world trade center, NYC (3- 4 days on-site and 1-2 day remote per week)

Duration: C2H (6 Months)

Must haves : System Analysis/engineering with Virtualization (VMware), Active Directory, DNS, on-prem, and cloud environments. Good experience with the server side. experience working with vendors and providers, managing and monitoring systems.

Job Description: Bachelors degree in computer science or related focus, or equivalent experienceExpert knowledge in implementing and managing Microsoft and third-party patch deployment, application packaging, and deliveryPositive, pro-active approach to systems and people3+ Years of Windows Active Directory experience3+ Years VMWare vCenter / ESXMonitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows/VMWare server performance and stability issuesProficiency and experience implementing and maintaining Microsoft Server Operating Systems & Active Directory architectureManagement and support of backups and disaster recoveryAbility to work with Linux at more than a basic levelDevelop shell scripting and automation of repetitive administrative tasksAdministration of NAS storageAbility to research and troubleshoot custom software/networking issues as requiredWindows File security, permissions, and auditing. Data collection and analysis (FIM, SEIM)Advanced DNS Administration and troubleshootingWorking knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and standards, including TCP/IP, firewalls, and routingStrong attention to detail and ability to follow the process for compliancePossess strong verbal and written communication skills Monitor systems and identify performance issues proactively, resolve issues and prepare status reportsEnsure system uptime and availability meet defined SLAs for systems maintained
