Epic Readiness Technician

MUST HAVE - 6 Months of EXPERIENCE in Laptop/PC Deployment, Imagine, or Desktop Support.MUST HAVE- Reliable transportationDescription:Our client is looking for desktop field technicians on their Epic HW readiness project to prepare for their go-live at South Nassau Hospital. Our client will be migrating from their current EMR to Epic in Nov 2025 to be consistent with the client's EMROur client needs these resources to assist in the initial survey/inventory of the sites, and eventual hardware deployment. In this first phase, the techs will assist in the documentation of asset information, IP addresses, etc., and use a software program to document where the floor plan hardware resides in the current environment (monitors, scanners, printers, workstations, credit card readers, welcome tablets, network jacks, etc). They should have prior experience in documenting inventory sheets in Excel.Eventually, during deployment phases, they will need to assist in monitor and hardware swaps, imaging and deploying machines including laptops, desktops and tablets, deploying printers or scanners, testing the systems to make sure they are operational and help with any log on issues and will be able to escalate any issues that they cannot handle. This will involve communication across the project team (PM, Technicians, practices, internal EPIC Tech team and/or internal Desktop and Network Infra teams). The first phase is scheduled to start 11/4 and last 9-11 weeks. Most of the work will be done during a standard work shift (Monday - Friday; 9am - 5pm) BUT there could be work scheduled outside of the normal hours throughout multiple locations depending on the availability of the physician practices for the data collection (starting earlier in the morning certain days and/or starting later and working later other days).The work will be completed at the Oceanside, a large facility in Hicksville, and 28-30 remote sites in and around predominantly the Nassau County area that includes Baldwin, Freeport, Merrick, Valley Stream, Oceanside, Bellmore, Levittown, Huntington Station, Hewlett, Long Beach, Lynbrook, Rockville Centre, Hempstead.Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.Skills:Desktop Support, Go Live Support, Hardware Deployment, Windows 10, Inventory, printers, scanners, ServiceNow, ExcelTop Skills Details:Desktop Support, Go Live Support, Hardware Deployment, Windows 10, InventoryAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Great communication, time management skills, reliable, follow instructions, organised and thorough in their documentation, white glove customer service.Will have to get a flu shot when onsite.About TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
