Quality Engineer

Description:Quality Engineer or inspector to provide Quality Engineering technical support to the engineering and manufacturing areas that meet or exceed expectations. AQE’s performs inspections and sets quality assurance testing processes for analysis of materials in process and finished products. AQE’s mastery knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the industries served. QE’s demonstrate expertise while continuing to maintain a industry currency as they demonstrate behavior that is consistent with the company’s values of Customer Satisfaction and Innovation.Analyze quality data, specifications and standards. Prepare and make recommendations and/or presentations to Project Engineers, customers, and all levels of the management team. Responsible for assuring that all Quality documentation or tasks assigned are supplied on time and meet all engineer / customer requirements, from start through full production approvals. Active participation on Advanced Quality Planning teams. May include may include advanced quality planning documents, participation in quality planning activities, Control Chart development, Directs development of Process Control plans as assigned, preparing submissions and reviewing package prior to sending to the Project Engineer or customer. Ensure that effective documentation and control systems are developed, utilized and maintained. Coordinate and perform special studies applying scientific methods such as SPC, or Design of Experiments (DOE) to determine required actions. Active in hands on part inspection, raw data collection, gage/testing development and Gage R&R studies. Provides expert Quality direction and mentoring to other Engineers and coworkers. Expertise in investigations of non-conformances, performs root causes analysis, recommends corrective actions, and ensures effectiveness as applicable.  Conducts Quality System Internal Audits as assigned. Identifies opportunities to employ functional gauging and assists in their design. Assist in identifying process and product continuous improvements by: expertise in the concepts of process, process variation, waste identification, actively offer suggestions for improvement and continue implementation, follow up.Skills:CMM, Quality Standards, iso 9001, Quality engineering, Quality inspection, gd&t, supplier audit, Blueprint, specification documentsTop Skills Details:CMM,Quality Standards,iso 9001,Quality engineering,Quality inspection,gd&tAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Expertise in various quality systems.  Thorough understanding of specifications, blue prints, and expertise in the use of OMP supplied/assigned software and inspection tools.  Excellence in written and oral communication skills and proven ability to successfully work independently.  Energetic team leader that interfaces successfully at all levels of the organization. Render expertise while making decisions to positively impact the operations. Experienced with plastic part design, resins, injection molding, assembly and finishing processes. Expertise in blue print reading, specification interpretations and industry quality standards Expertise in problem solving, negotiation, GD&T, SPC, drawing and contract reviews.BS or AAS degree and/or transferable related certifications, along with and employment experiences. Quality Engineering fields.  Expertise with in usage and conducting audits per AS9100C and/or AS9006 and/or ISO90001.  Expertise in problem solving and Root Cause Corrective Action process.Experience Level:Entry LevelAbout Actalent: Actalent connects passion with purpose.
