This position requires you to serve as a key contributor to the maintenance and optimization of the client's network and wireless infrastructure. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Plattsburgh, New York area. Apply for this role today!What you get to do every single day- Survey and sample application performance for potential bottlenecks, pinpoint possible solutions, and cooperate with developers to perform those fixes- Team up with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution- Take preventive action to safeguard the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools- Offer 2nd and 3rd level support- Head and keep a close watch on all installed systems and infrastructure- Uphold security, redundancy strategies, and back up- Register and conserve custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks- Participate in the design of information and operational support systems Requirements - Candidates who have solid networking knowledge will be the best fit for this position - Applicants who have experience with automation software are preferred - Applicants who solid scripting skills are preferred- Microsoft Windows experience - This position requires a candidate with proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting various operating systems - Candidates experience with monitoring systems will be the best fit for this position- 5+ years of relevant experience - You might be a good fit for this position if you have solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks - You'll be a good fit for this position if you have experience with virtualization and containerization Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
