Our client, a North American based distribution company, is currently seeking candidates for the position of Transportation Assistant. As the point of contact for all freight related inquiries, this position is responsible for the implementation and training for pricing plans across the U.S. and Canadian customer base.
Duties include:
Negotiating carrier and parcel contracts
Managing Transportation Management System (TMS), including development and training within supply planning, order management and order fulfillment teamsÂ
Effectively communicating with carriers and brokers to meet and exceed operational standards
Delivering exceptional customer service in all aspects of the operation
Experience with small parcel carriers, freight, ordering, bill of landing (BOL) and invoicing desired.
