Massage Therapist

Vermont Full Body Wellness is hiring a part-time or full-time massage therapist.

Vermont Full Body Wellness is a small massage therapy practice with a focus on helping clients with chronic pain, injuries, or muscular dysfunction with rehabilitation through massage therapy. We strive to be as inclusive and accessible to our community as possible, and offer sliding scale rates as well as scholarships to reach that goal.

The ideal candidate is someone who has relevant experience applying massage therapy in a clinical setting for pain mitigation. Additionally, an outside-the-box attitude when assessing body and muscular dysfunction is a big plus, as is other relevant body working experience such as yoga teacher training, kinesiology taping, lymphatic manipulation, etc. As a member of a small team, communication in this position is key, as is a willingness to collaborate in addition to working independently. Vermont Full Body Wellness is based in Middlebury, Vermont, with a location in Burlington as well. Applicants able to work in Middlebury are preferred, but Burlington residents will be considered also.

What qualities does the ideal candidate have?

3 years of experience working in a clinical setting.

Works well in a small team.

Self motivated.

Experience working with injury rehabilitation and chronic pain.

Ability to think outside the box.

Fantastic bedside manner and customer relations skills.

Knowledge and understanding of anatomy and kinesiology.

ABMP or AMTA massage insurance.

Trained in specialist modality(s).

Registered with Vermont Office of Professional Regulation.

Ability to lift 50 pounds.
