Every installation wants to make the best use of its resources and maintain the highest possible throughput and achieve the best possible system responsiveness.WLM (Workload Management) is an integral part of z/OS and it manages the system resources that are available and can only meet performance objectives if the necessary resources are available. Therefore, installations must perform regular capacity planning.With workload management, you define performance goals and assign a business importance to each goal. You define the goals for work in business terms, and the system decides how much resource, such as CPU and storage, should be given to the work to meet its goal.Who You Are:Someone who is highly motivated and has a passion for creating and supporting great products.

Job Duties:Work with the WLM development team in BOE Germany (Remotely) to perform System Verification Testing on actual hardware
Function as an interface to the other z/OS components in Poughkeepsie NY
Execute quality assurance activities for software products, including the design and development of test cases and test execution.
Employ IBM's Design Thinking to create products that provide a great user experience along with high performance, security, quality, and stability.
Create and review technical documentation.
About the Team:The z/OS WLM Development Team (BOE, Germany) is part of the exciting and challenging IBM z/OS Software Organization where they develop and test new functional solutions, perform root cause analysis of problems and provide high quality fixes to their clients. You would be working with them to perform System Verification Testing activities.SYSTEMSPROUDRequired Technical and Professional ExpertiseKnowledge of the z/OS Operating System including components and workflow
Practical experience with z/OS Development and Test processes and procedures
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work in a cross functional, multicultural team
Ability to think out of the box with strong problem-solving skills
Demonstrated understanding of Agile concepts
Preferred Technical and Professional ExpertisePractical knowledge/experience in zTT and AVTGEN
