While tied closely to broader PepsiCo, the eCommerce group has a unique start-up feel and defined values that embrace a more entrepreneurial mindset: bias for action; results-oriented; community-focused; prioritization of people.The role: eCommerce Head of Data & Analytics Our eComm Data & Analytics team at PepsiCo influences every aspect of how we sell and move our products, defining the data science and data engineering roadmap across multiple groups and ensuring timely delivery of projects committed against that roadmap. Whether it’s employing matrix decomposition techniques or leveraging Google Tensorflow to advance sales forecasting, our team’s mathematical genius and discipline enable business value and strategic decisioning across our businesses. We're looking for an eComm Head of Data & Analytics to join our growing eCommerce team. This leader’s primary objective is to lead a talented team of data & applied scientists, data engineers and business intelligence engineers within the North America eCommerce organization, working across stakeholders to identify and prioritize needs.What you’ll do: Anticipate changing demands from PepsiCo’s eCommerce associates and customers and initiate action to creatively realign data science objectives as needed Own the development of data & analytics (Data Science, Business Intelligent and Data Engineering) organization and capabilities that are deployed and scaled in real time Develop, maintain, and manage relationships with various stakeholders. Partner closely with PepsiCo's eCommerce marketing, sales, finance teams, global D&A, IT teams to enhance products and develop custom data solutions. Pilot and test emerging data science techniques and tools, syndicating insights to the broader organization for deployment Identify new engineering and data science capabilities to help enhance and fill in any gaps within the existing solutions, including building internally, buying or partnering to fill gaps Drive the implementation of ML models into production in partnership with internal data engineering teams. Lead efforts to establish a data-driven culture to empower business units around data, reporting and analytics. Participate in design, operational and architectural decisions, driving projects from discovery to delivery. Implement best practices for data ingestion, monitoring, storage, security, and analytics. Demonstrate strategic and tactical abilities across long-range strategic planning, OKRs, and driving short-term execution Build high-performing, data focused, inclusive teams and culture with different technical areas of focus COVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment for this role. Please note that all such company vaccine requirements provide the opportunity to request an approved accommodation or exemption under applicable lawQualifications/RequirementsWhat you’ll bring: A minimum of 13 years of data, analytics, and engineering experience At least 7 years of working experience in a data / tech leadership role Experience and knowledge of advanced data techniques, including advanced qualitative and quantitative data mining, complex predictive modeling, and other real-time pattern-detection methods. Exposure to machine learning, algorithms, statistics, visualization, data engineering, natural language processing and deep learning Experience in a modern programming language, preferably Python, Scala or Go, building data pipelines and data warehouse systems Experience building insights and analytics strategy and driving change across different businesses units. Experience with Snowflake, SQL, NoSQL databases Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Experience working with systems in production Experience leading large teams through significant change management Experience working with cross-functional teams where collaboration with other teams across is essential to the success of your team Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics Nice to have experience working with a global CPG company We believe that culture should be at the cornerstone of everything we do at PepsiCo eCommerce.
