Head of Automation Technology

Job Description As Head of Automation Technology, you will lead our automation delivery and service organization. You will partner with various senior business leaders and functional teams, subject matter experts, Business, Operations and Technology team to establish, implement and drive the enterprise automation strategy.

You and the Automation team will work with business, technology, data and operations partners to lead the implementation and management of automation solutions including Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Smart Process Automation (SPA), Cognitive Assistants (Voice and Text), Information Technology (IT) Service Automation and other technologies to automate business processes. You will advise executive management and multiple teams on the direction of Automation technology. As part of the Automation team, you will benefit from exposure to cross industry clients, cross functional leadership, thought leaders, and work together to grow our business. Additionally, significant skills will be developed related to the application of digital technologies and principles that can be applied to various forms of projects. You Will:
  • Report to the Head of Enterprise Technology Services.
  • Partner with the business and technology teams to promote and drive the Automation strategy
  • Lead the design, delivery, and operations of automation solutions by understanding our business challenges.
  • Focus on initiatives for driving widespread adoption, deployment and maturity of Intelligent Automation (IA), Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Smart Process Automation (SPA) across the organization.
  • Enhance and maintain the service levels for Automation Technology portfolio
  • Build and grow world class team to support our Automation Technology portfolio
  • As a part of the Automation Center of Excellence (CoE), partner with key stakeholders to own and drive intelligent automation strategy and execution. Create and drive team development (skills, knowledge, engagement etc.) to improve the maturity of the team.
  • Partner with Enterprise Data Analytics and Enterprise Data Office leadership to integrate the data strategies with the overall Enterprise AI an Automation strategy.
  • Identify, qualify, and prioritize processes for automation and partner with Technology to implement Intelligent Automation/RPA/SPA solutions for the same.
  • Establish post-launch operating models for ongoing management, monitoring, analytics, change control and performance management (e.g. maintenance, escalation of issues, manage robot changes)
  • Establish Automation Financial model partnering finance, COE and business departments.
You Have:
  • Bachelors, Masters in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
  • 7+ years of professional experience driving process re-engineering, improvement and automation initiatives with demonstrable business results and proven experience in leading teams and organizations.
  • 5+ years of proven team leadership and management experience, with ability to recruit, engage and develop staff with advanced degrees and diverse backgrounds and in different geographic locations, ability to allocate resources based on priority and skill level, strengths, and area of expertise.
  • Excellent software engineering and big data background. High familiarity with the software development life cycle.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills and ability to articulate a complex concept with thoughtful, actionable recommendations.
  • Strong facilitation and influencing skills and experience in managing senior stakeholder (VP level and up) relationships, partnerships and interactions; demonstrated ability to influence at all levels in the organization.
  • Proven experience working across multiple business areas such as operations, finance, sales, product, and strategy.
  • Extensive knowledge with cloud technology, e.g. SaaS, PaaS and IaaS.
  • Understanding of Application and API development.
  • Deep understanding of Intelligent Automation domains IT Service Automation, RPA, SPA including industry-leading trends and platforms (e.g., Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UiPath, Workfusion, Splunk Phantom, Resolve, etc.) as well as other Intelligent Automation solutions.
  • Extensive Knowledge and implementation experience in Automation Ecosystem.
  • Preferred knowledge and implementation of Digital Assistant platforms (Ipsoft, IBM Watson etc.).
