KYC/AML Specialist - Contract - 6 months - RemoteJob Summary:The GCIB KYC/AML Specialist is primarily responsible for completing Client Identification and Customer Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence (CIP/CDD/EDD - collectively KYC) for new and existing customers in support of Relationship Manager (RM) and Originator teams.Day to day responsibilities include performing KYC research and data and document gathering from internal, public and external agent bank or customer sources, responding to and coordinating with stakeholders in the onboarding units(OBU), compliance requests for information (RFIs), and other inter-departmental requests. Will follow established guidelines to identify and resolve problems using independence of thought. Must meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in responding/addressing RFIs and providing necessary information and documentation to OBU and Compliance. May be assigned other Relationship Management tasks such as pitch book creation as needed and timing permitting.GCIB KYC/AML Specialists are part of the Global Relationship Management and Originator groups within Global Corporate and Investment Banking and work closely with RM or Originator Teams, OBU, Compliance Representatives and other internal stakeholders in completing KYC and other AML related tasks.Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with internal partners such as GRM, PMG, OBU, and compliance staff to obtain required information and applicable documentation related to client on-boarding and KYC and address and complete KYC RFIs.
  • Conducts KYC research, analysis, data / documentation gathering for new and existing clients form both internal and external sources.
  • Develop SME-level understanding of onboarding, KYC, and other related financial crimes requirements such as negative news dispositioning, addressing sanction nexuses and questionnaires, filing exceptions/extensions for information / documentation unable to be obtained.
  • Support Data Quality efforts; dispositioning of Sanctions/OFAC and Adverse Media/PEP alerts.
  • Independently manage multiple simultaneous requests from internal partners in a high-pressure work environment
  • Promptly address queries and assist with problem-solving of matters received from applicable Bank personnel
  • Assist with other GRM activities such pitch book creation as assigned after other primary responsibilities addressed.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1-year prior experience in the field of Anti-Money Laundering in financial services industry with understanding of banking product and services
  • Solid knowledge of KYC/AML and data governance policy and understanding of business activities, compliance/risk issues
  • Solid understanding of business activities, compliance / risk issues
  • Knowledge of business lines served, including correspondent banking and foreign financial institutions
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize tools, techniques and processes for gathering data utilizing 3rd party tools such as Dun Bradstreet, LexisNexis, government registries, etc.
  • Knowledge of various types of customers and ability to analyze customer activities, profiles and source information.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organized approach and strong problem solving/facilitation abilities
  • Mature approach with excellent influential communication (verbal/written) skills
  • Strong time management, work organization and multi-tasking skills with a drive for efficiency, accuracy and risk management controls while maintaining 100% dedication, excellent attitude and flexibility
  • Proficiency in MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
