The Denzel Group, an award-winning search firm, has been chosen to work with an industry leader in Philly on their quest for a talented Sr. AWS Systems Engineer. In this role you will design, configure, install, troubleshoot, and repair systems infrastructure. This is an integral hands-on technical position, responsible for the analysis and design of current and new systems, as well as maintenance and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities- Architect and deliver business systems, applications, and processes.
- This includes infrastructure planning, application support, analysis, design, development, testing, setup, documentation, and reporting.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain VMware clusters, Microsoft Active Directory.
- Support AWS management, including baseline, security configurations, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain backup strategies.
- Provide technical support, training and documentation.
- Support DevOps teams with Infrastructure as Code.
- Some relevant tools/technologies/concepts include:
- Windows and Linux/Unix servers.
- VMWare, Hyper-V, Nutanix.
- MS Active Directory /Azure AD.
- Powershell Scripting.
- Migration tools/techniques, such as: VMconverter, CloudEndure, Carbonite Migrate, Azure Migrate.
- 5+ years’ supporting, integrating, and deploying, leading hardware/software solutions.
- Virtualization experience.
- Experience managing, maintaining and designing AWS regarding native EC2, S3 and Amazon Simple DB/RDS databases, AWS Identity, Access Management IAM and Infrastructure as Code.
