IT Project Manager Our client in Rochester, NY is looking to engage two IT Project Managers on a full time basis This is not a remote position. Individuals will need to be able to work at the client site.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 5 years' experience in an Infrastructure Project Manager role
  • Ability to lead and provide guidance to infrastructure engineers drawing on their project and technical experience
  • Demonstrate examples of similar successful positions in the past.
  • Be highly collaborative with the current team, management structure and business leaders
  • Demonstrate a very high level of customer service and empathy to the customer issues delivering solutions while maintaining working within budget
  • Demonstrate a 'Can-Do' attitude
  • Be an excellent communicator
  • Strong computer, communication and customer service skills
  • Project management experience; worked with a project life cycle framework and with multiple, diverse stakeholders in a complex environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Solid working knowledge of technical infrastructure and process, including: servers/storage, networks, configuration and change control, data warehouse and reporting technology, data conversion, system integration
  • Five or more years' experience working in an environment with complex networking solutions with senior level fundamental knowledge in networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP)
  • Five or more years' experience managing enterprise level Active Directory Structures
  • Five or more years' experience creating and maintaining complex Microsoft Group Policy implementations
  • Five or more years' experience creating, maintaining, following Standard Operating Procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution
  • Three or more years' experience configuring and maintaining key services such as DNS, SFTP, SMTP, and NTP.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willing to be a team player

  • Responsibilities
  • Technical Project Manager should provide specialized knowledge and experience in

    Datacenter & Computer Room hosted infrastructure consisting of enterprise server and storage servers.
  • Lead various medium to large sized IT Project initiatives.
  • Participate in global Security, Risk, Compliance strategy sessions, project planning sessions, and status meetings.
  • Develop, coordinate, collect, and analyze

    cyber security metrics for reporting and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain monthly status reports
  • Assists in capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning on assigned projects
  • Works within the Information Technology function, obtaining resources and working in support of objectives and strategies
  • Oversees network/computer resources and installation of new equipment
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices and trends, as well as new developments for the technologies deployed/supported
  • Interacting with client management to answer questions, problems and requests regarding complex system issues
  • Assist with team member training and continually look for areas of improvement while providing a high level of service delivery and systems administration
  • ITIL guidelines for Incident, Problem, and Change Management
  • Monitoring and tuning appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of performance
  • Project Management. Define project scope and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders; develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents; estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals; draft and submit budget proposals/recommend subsequent budget changes when needed

    Leadership & Communication. Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors; effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion; estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals

    Evaluation. Track project milestones and deliverables; deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations; determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas; conduct project post mortems and create recommendation reports
