Days, evenings, weekends, and holidays per unit staffing policy.ResponsibilitiesThis is an exciting opportunity to work inpatient cardiology with rotations between the cardiac care center, a 40 bed step down unit, and the inpatient cardiology consult service. The service is a multi-disciplinary service with a focus on teamwork. Patient population includes adult patients with medical issues with a focus on cardiology. Patients will be of a varied level of acuity and elective cardiology admissions, intervention cardiology procedures, and medical management. The consults service sees a variety of adult patients within the hospital requiring cardiology expertise. Our team expects hard working and flexible team members. Requirements include: NY state licensure as an NP with National Certification within 6 month of appointment or Board Certified PA. New graduates are welcome to apply, experience preferred.QualificationsNurse PractitionerRequires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Practitioner influences the quality and delivery of care in various roles including consultant, researcher, mentor, and practitioner. This role may be unit, program, or service based and is involved in continuous quality improvement initiatives.Physician AssistantCompletion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program, licensure in good standing, and certified as a Registered Physician Assistant. Demonstrated clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn.
