The use of technology is an integral part of the position and the successful candidate must have excellent skills in using technology to solve problems. The Office Clerk II must have strong interpersonal skills and a sincere desire to assist students and their families, as well as college staff. The Office Clerk II reports to the Assistant Director of Admissions. Greet students and visitors at the Admissions Front Desk
Schedule appointments for students with Admissions Counselors and/or Advisors
Enter prospective student data into customer relationship management (CRM) system
Answer incoming telephone calls and other forms of inbound communication, and respond to questions from prospective students (applicants), various college departments, and personnel to clarify information regarding admissions files
Provide support to the front desk area and to all office visitors, including prospective students, families, and other college personnel
Processing of applications both online and in person
Some evenings and weekend hours may be required
Admissions Technology:
Provide application support and trouble-shooting
Data entry import and export
Process outbound communication to multiple contact types, electronically and paper-based
Provide support for recruitment and enrollment events
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor and appropriate staff

Required Qualifications:
Must currently hold the title of Office Clerk II OR be reachable on the Civil Service Eligibility list titled Office Clerk II OR meet the below minimum requirements for a provisional appointment, if offered;
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:
Graduation with an Associate's degree or successful completion of at least sixty (60) credit hours from a college or university; OR,
Two (2) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience; OR,
An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
Experience as a Teller, Cashier or Sales Clerk will not be considered appropriate experience for the purposes of these minimum qualifications.
