Minimum of one year of oral surgery experience
Maintains Dental Assistant Certification (CDA) with NYS or the Dental Assistant National Board (DANB) - Required
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completes the RRH Moderate Sedation course or complete AAOMS anesthesia course for Dental Assistants
Discuss pre-op instructions with patient
Preparing patient for oral surgery procedures reviewing med history
Provide patient with postop instructions
Prepare moderate sedation flow sheet
Monitor patient vitals during sedation procedure
Assisting oral surgeon by maintaining patient airway
Post op removal of patient IV
Prepare patient for discharge
Making updates and notations as necessary
