Physical Security Specialist

DescriptionHours:40Schedule:Monday - Friday with on call as needed. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs.Primary Accountability:Provide review, repair, upgrades and support for physical security equipment and cash handling equipment at ESL Federal Credit Union. Assist Security Systems Engineer with repair support of electronic security systems. Provide ESL response to abusive member issues. Coordinate security response for ESL Special Events. Assist with vendor management for projects, and represent physical security interests on corporate and department projects. Vendor management for assigned physical security systemsPrincipal Accountabilities:Manage Cash Handling and Storage Security Equipment

Perform security equipment service review, repair, upgrade, or replacement as needed for safes, vaults, cash storage, and all cash handling devices.

Oversight for the company master key and secured key program including issuance, replacement, lock repair, recordkeeping, storage and reporting for all ESL locations.

Maintaining security lock sets in branch offices, changing and updating access codes.

Maintaining operational performance for teller cash drawers, including repair and keys replacements.

Coordinate with Security Operations Specialist for safe deposit box key replacements and box drilling.

Coordinate repair, replacement, and upkeep of branch drive up systems.

Respond to carrier obstruction issues for branch drive up systems.

Vendor management as needed.

Coordinate service for Access Control and Cash Supply Security

Oversight of branch and ATM cash security protection.

Management of annual maintenance process for branch safes and vaults.

Oversight of parking facilities automated access equipment, including repair, or replacement as needed.

Assist department manager with required security training sessions.

Vendor management as needed.

Coordination of Security Response to Company Issues

First responder for ESL robbery events.

Investigation and reporting for ESL criminal events, accidents, injuries or potential liability issues.

Coordinate security participation with all ESL Special Events.

Oversight of visitor management ID and record keeping system.

Conduct annual security surveys of all ESL locations.

Vendor management as needed.

Manage Abusive Member Process

Coordination of the ESL abusive member process.

Provide determination of actions taken for abusive member response.

Communicate with members regarding actions taken.

Follow up with police authority if warranted.

Law enforcement liaison for all other ESL concerns.

Qualifications:

Associates Degree or two years of directly related experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience investigating criminal events, accidents or injuries required

Knowledge of physical security equipment including diagnosing, repair or replacement.

Experience interacting with technical vendors and service relationships

Driver’s license issued by New York or other U.S. state

Police officer certification preferred

Experience preparing video submittals for investigations and court requirements preferred

Certification by ASIS International as PSP or CPP preferred
