Permanent, full time job (direct hire) offering W2 annual salary with full benefits and relocation assistance (if non local) Job location: must be able to work on site in Rochester, NY (West Henrietta) Software Architect ( embedded systems ) :Lead software architecture and design, implementation, and unit test, and support system testing, safety, and quality.
Deliver software requirements specifications, software design documents, and professional high quality software executables.
Work collaboratively with engineering and product development teams and cross-functional partners
Work closely with Systems Engineers to understand operations and translate them into clear software requirements
Work with a field support team to diagnose customer issues and quickly resolve issues
Follow the Quality Management Standards and necessary vital software design standards
Keep a strong link with the software developers, hardware designers, Reliability and V&V departments, through the whole software design cycle
Skills, Experience, Education :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in such disciplines as: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, etc
C, assembly languages, Linux, FPGA / microcontrollers, firmware, drivers, etc
Experience in design of software for complex embedded / real-time (RTOS) systems
Agile development process experience
Embedded software system development using C or Assembly is a MUST
Development of embedded applications for real time operating systems (RTOS) is a PLUS.
