The Village Bakery & Cafe is currently looking for an energetic and positive individual to join our team of Line Cooks. Serious inquiries only. Must have a strong passion for cooking and working with fresh ingredients.
Responsibilities Includes:
-Set-up line
-Work directly with Kitchen Manager
-Lead service with a team of cooks
-Ensure all food items comply with portion size and quality standards
-Complete prep work before the start of dining service
-Properly wrap, store, date, and rotate perishable items
-Maintain proper inventory of line items needed for shift
-Make sure orders are complete and delivered to guests at the correct temperature
-Taste items to determine accuracy of preparation
NO fryer, NO late nights
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
-Minimum 1 year restaurant experience
-Must be available morning and weekends
-Basic skills in reading, speaking and listening
-Must be able to read and follow recipes
-Must be able to prepare orders in a timely manner
