FTT Manufacturing, a precision contract manufacturer in Rochester NY, is looking for a Quality Manager. This is a high visibility, career growth role in a company that is rapidly growing in the Medical, Aerospace/Defense, Industrial, and Transportation segments of it’s machining and contract manufacturing business.
The Quality Manager will be a responsible for both leadership and hands on activities involving quality assurance and compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and eventually AS9100 standards. As a leader in the organization, the Quality Manager will be responsible to give direction to the quality department for day to day activities, manage the auditing process on the floor and lead training of the ISO system on the production floor. The Quality Manager will also be instrumental in the updates and implementation of policies / procedures to ensure that quality and regulatory standards are met (ISO, FDA, FFL, ITAR). These responsibilities must be carried out with honesty, integrity and fairness, the principles in which FTT Manufacturing was built.
Essential Duties:
1) Ensure that the Quality system is implemented and maintained in accordance with ISO 9001/2015 and ISO 13485 standards and FTT’s quality manual.
2) Perform internal audits and lead audit teams.
3) Address nonconforming material issues with customers and vendors.
4) Assist in daily production meetings and reports.
5) Perform Supplier Quality Audits
6) Responsible for compilation and maintenance of inspection reports / records.
7) Assist FAI/Customer PPAP and other customer validation submissions.
8) Coordinate and monitor daily department activities and set priorities.
9) Ensure calibration of employee and company tools and maintain records.
10) Ability to explain company quality policies during customer quality audits.
11) Functional experience with a variety of quality measuring instruments including CMM.
12) Promote company quality values throughout organization.
