TITLE EXAMINER - Hourly / Full Time / Benefits
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Examines copies of records such as mortgage, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and plat and map books to determine ownership and legal restrictions and to verify legal descriptions of property.
Copies and summarizes (abstract) recorded documents such as mortgages, trust deeds, and contracts affecting condition of title to property.
Prepares and issues abstracted report reflecting open items on title.
Prepares tax reports for various clients.
Report obtained information back to client via requested formats.
Reports status of files to client in a professional manner.
Typing skills required. May be asked to take a typing test prior to interview.
Able to deal with high volume, high accuracy products in a time sensitive environment
