Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer, AVP for a direct hire position with a financial services client located in Scarsdale, NY. This is a hybrid position and requires 1 day per week on site.

Summary: The Senior Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role in the design, build, and security of the IT infrastructure and is responsible for server and storage virtualization, high-availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery/security. This position provides direction to the systems engineering group and ensures they follow operational policies and procedures when managing infrastructure on remote sites, on premises hardware, and cloud infrastructure, including firmware updates, resource allocation and lifecycle management. Additionally, the Senior Systems Engineer participates in resource acquisition and allocation and acts as a point of escalation for support and administration.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide infrastructure design, maintenance, and support.
  • Perform security and compliance analysis and apply corrections as needed.
  • Perform infrastructure resource analysis, forecasting, management, and upgrades.
  • Strategize business continuity and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Document processes, changes, policies, and issues.
  • Provide technology design and implementation expertise.
  • Perform data migrations, server upgrades, system implementations and production turnover.
  • Explore, evaluate, and test new technology and products to improve and maintain infrastructure.
  • Maintain a reliable environment availability for end users.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to support infrastructure resource needs.
  • Provide leadership to systems engineering staff, creating goals, training and development plans.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 7+ years equivalent work experience systems engineering
  • Enterprise environment experience with data center hardware and virtualization

The salary range for this position is $135,000 - $165,000
