The healthcare candidate must be age 18 or older, physically strong and compassionate to care for a victim of stroke. The patient is severely handicapped - must be rolled for in bed care, and "Hoyer-lifted" for transfers to wheelchair. Caregiver pay is $22 per hour. The candidate will apply to the NYS "Public Partnership Limited" (PPL) for base pay, and then accept a private supplement to total $22 per hour. If PPL pay goes up, the total will go up.
