Vice President of Product
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION, MUST BE WILLING TO WORK ON SITE IN SYRACUSE, NY DescriptionThe Vice President of Product drives the future direction of cutting-edge digital products. This position will manage the strategic direction and implementation of our client’s product strategy and developmental roadmaps to ensure success in the market. In addition, the Director will identify opportunities for future growth through market research, partnerships, integrations and new development in order to ensure product success and achievement of business objectives.This position balances strategy, creativity, and analytical decision-making. The Vice President of Product is highly organized and driven by the desire to create exceptional and inspiring digital fan experiences. The Vice President of Product exhibits a proven ability to recruit and develop talent as well as lead large product, design, and user experience teams. Responsibilities- Shape and steer a strong product vison, strategy, and roadmaps in support of the company mission.
- Own the end-to-end processes related to product discovery, validation, planning, execution, and testing.
- Develop standards, processes, and procedures to ensure that product quality standards are consistently met.
- Establish product team OKR metrics and performance standards.
- Lead, mentor, and grow the existing and future product team members including product managers, designers, UX/UI specialists, analysts, and QA specialists.
- Work closely with the head of web development/software engineering to ensure effective implementation of product improvements and features.
- Collaborate and work cross-functionally with sales, customer success, support, and project management to deliver effective products that address client needs.
- Maintain a deep understanding of client and user needs, industry trends, and technological advancements.
- Support and inspire team by encouraging individual growth and by challenging expectations.
- 8-10 years of experience in digital product management or creative direction and leadership, preferably in the web and/or mobile app field.
- Extensive experience with defining user needs, requirements, specifications, and product roadmaps.
- Extensive experience with, and strong proponent of Agile development methodologies.
- Proven track record of success in the conception and design of high-quality digital products.
- Passion for leading, mentoring, and scaling product teams to reach their full potential.
- The ability to quickly absorb and analyze information, find creative solutions, and back product decisions with sound evidence.
- Excellent communication & presentation skills with proven ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
