Job Description and Responsibilities :
This position is responsible for transporting equipment, materials, and supplies accurately and timely.
Primary Responsibilities:
Pick-up and deliver equipment and/or materials utilizing the designated Company owned vehicle (COV) with varying travel times of 2 6+ hours
Pull and load/unload materials, tools, or other stock items for scheduled deliveries
Receive and verify accuracy of deliveries and returns; complete any required follow-up paperwork
Per manager direction, sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins per the established warehouse procedure
Inform manager of any required vehicle maintenance and/or issues to ensure a safe operating condition
Maintain a log book and comply with all DOT regulations
Maintain a clean work environment in the warehouse and Company owned vehicle
Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent, plus minimum of 12 to 24 months of related driving experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
DOT medical card is required
Forklift Certification
Technical Skills:
Ability to utilize a smart phone
Ability to utilize an inventory management system preferred
Soft Skills:
Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions
Organized and detail orientated
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
Must have a valid drivers license and a driving record that meets Company requirements
Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat, push, pull, lift above the head, and lift 100 lbs.
May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
