job summary:
We are looking for a Temp Sr Mgr PMO Business Admin who will support GD PMO by managing project information system, data sources, reports, dashboards, templates stored in Global Development PMO Project Intelligence tool set. They will interact with Microsoft's Power Platform (Power BI, Apps, Automate etc.) to generate, operate, and maintain Power platform (BI, apps, automate) applications that serve to provide the company with actionable business insights and intelligence. Leveraging data insights in transitioning projects to day-to-day operations. This job may be for you if:- Experience in managing projects from initiation to close
- Experience in data integration, modeling, and data warehousing projects
- Experience in Microsoft BI stack with Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS
- Experience in working in MS Power Platform (Power BI, PowerApps/Automate), Tableau, or SAP
- Familiarity with scripting, programming, and designing reports
- Knowledge of SQL server and UI/UX development
- Communication skills to capture business requirements, translate, articulate to technical requirements for robust business intelligence via standard & custom reports.
- Ability to think critically and problem solve
- Proficient in oral and written communication, excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with great attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team environment and also independently
- Spearhead BI software development, surface Power BI reports
- Take raw data / data captured in data warehouses and MS Suite i.e., MS SharePoint, MS Project Online, to create coherent and useful reports to collect meaningful business insights.
- As needed, manage oversight of exception reports to highlight and escalate to PMO leadership
- Analyze data to identify trends to recommend improvements (efficiency or cost reduction)
- Design forms, data gathering, reports, dashboards to support evolving business needs
- Develop and deploy reports, dashboards for both standardized and custom requirements
- Track reports in current use and archive reports no longer used as needed
- Work with business leads to draw conclusions to inform additional business decisions
- Update data fields, formats, reports and dashboards
- Test updates to ensure real world viability
- Provide end user support on how to use the system by answering business process related questions
- Develop and maintain FAQs or QRGs to aid end users to complete tasks
- Anticipate challenges related to the user experience with the database tool, track and actively manage issues and risks and escalate as appropriate
- Manage projects from start to finish, including planning, organizing, communicating with team members, and monitoring progress toward project goals.
