The Algorithmic Financial Risk Pre-Sales team delivers high-quality solution design, sales support and sales presentation of the architecture for market-leading risk management solutions to financial institutions. The main focus of this role is to articulate key Algorithmic Financial Risk messages across our Enterprise Risk solutions. Specifically, given the increase of recent regulations and market trends in the measurement and management of trading book risk, the core focus for this role is Market and Credit Risk at Buy-Side institutions.
- Key to this role is the ability to articulate the business benefits of the solutions, specifically as an expert in Market Risk and Credit risk. Position the solution, explain benefits, identify issues and display a thorough level of knowledge to help the sales process.
- Candidate will need to have comprehensive financial risk knowledge for Asset Servicers, Asset Managers, Wealth Manager, Hedge Funds and Insurers. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge in the area of Enterprise Risk and understand risk infrastructure. Knowledge around credit risk management and lending processes highly desirable.
- The candidate should be a confident and articulate individual who can engage with all levels of client representatives.
- Assist the technical delivery of sales engagements and effective progression of the pre-sales process. Help define the market selling propositions, key product messages, and competitor differentiators.
- Responding to requests for proposals, outlining risk solutions, and owning the relationship with key client personnel.
- Work closely with the sales team to meet and exceed revenue targets. Dealing with prospect's requirements to qualify opportunities and agree on content/delivery.
- Capturing customer requirements, advising and assisting implementation teams in the provision of design and client requirements.
- Willingness and ability to travel is a strong requirement.
- Able to demonstrate a strong risk management background, with over 5 years of experience in the industry.
- A strong understanding of one or more of the following: Market Risk, Credit Risk, Alpha and Counterparty Credit Risk Management.
- Foreign Language skills - Ability to speak and write in Spanish/Portuguese is preferable.
- Competent in delivering presentations and participation in client workshops and proof of concepts. Strong communication skills essential.
- Familiarity and comfort with Financial Risk software is highly desirable.
- Strong commercial awareness, excellent client facing and interpersonal skills.
