Implementing comprehensive, evidence-based strategies that meet each student's social, emotional, physical, and mental well-being needs; creating positive, inclusive, and supportive school environments; and increasing access to evidence-based interventions and services.

Engagement:

Engaging students, families, educators, staff, and community organizations in the selection and implementation of strategies and interventions to create safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments.

Certification Requirements: Licensed Clinical Social Worker OR Licensed Masters Social Worker OR Licensed Mental Health Counselor STARTING DATE: As soon as possible Job Description:BASIC Overview of Roles :

Expectations for high quality, research-based instruction in general education classrooms.

Develop and implement universal, classroom-based screening to identify students' needs for additional support.

Develops collaborative, team-based approach to implement and evaluate alternative interventions.

Assists in developing a positive environment within classrooms and programs to promote positive and cooperative working relationships.

Evaluates and re-evaluates short term behavioral and academic objectives on a regular basis throughout the school year for students with on-going behavior plans.

Develops and maintains communication with the students' teachers, school psychologist, parents, school counselors, social workers, and appropriate outside agencies.

Attends student support meetings as needed.

Evaluates special education referrals for social emotional support service.

Develops solution-focused outcomes for social, emotional, behavioral, and academic issues as they arise.

Refers as necessary to Mental Health Services outside of the school environment.

Maintains files on students; documentation should include time spent and general content of session and progress.

Assists with de-escalation and behavior support as needed.

Other responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for C&I or their designee.
