Disaster Restoration Technicians - The Disaster Restoration Technician position is responsible for repair of damage to properties caused by fire, water, mold, and other disasters. This is a field position which requires the ability to work both independently and in coordination with the crew leader and office staff. The position's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Taking atmospheric and moisture content readings
Accurately recording readings into software and/or paper documents
Maintaining proper paperwork for each project
Water extraction from wet structures
Controlled demolition of affected materials
Set up and monitoring of drying equipment
Cleaning and removal of soot and odor from structure and content
Pack out of content from damaged properties
Maintenance of equipment and vehicles
Immediate positions open. No experience necessary. Rapid advancement for those who excel.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate would have:
Background in Water/Fire Damage Mitigation or Construction.
High School Diploma or equivalent
After training, be on call on a rotating basis (approximately 1 week per month) and respond to emergency calls after normal business hours. You are compensated for these calls via normal hourly pay and a stipend for each call.
Possess a valid NYS driver's license and clean driving record
Pass drug screening
Ability to physically lift up to 75 lbs.
Capable of working in fire, smoke and/or water damage environments.
Have reliable transportation to and from work
