Job Description
As a Level II SCCM System Engineer, you will provide system implementation, support, monitoring, and maintenance of Cerner's solutions and services. You will perform daily system operations tasks to verify system integrity and availability as well as perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware OS upgrades, and resource optimization. Must be able to work closely with multiple Information System Teams and stakeholders and is extremely collaborative. This person should have prior experience leading a small team of technicians to deploy images within an Enterprise Environment. The ability to communicate project plans and deadlines as well as issues that arise throughout is extremely important. You will also be responsible for implementing and monitoring applications, workstations, servers and respond to alarms in accordance with strict hospital SLA's in a manner to prevent client impact and performance degradation. As a member of this team, you will manage changes and project activities while communicating with impacted stakeholders. This position includes developing and deploying automation tools to optimize daily activities as well as completing assigned incident management tasks. In addition, you will deploy, setup, as well as maintain testing environments as well as be responsible for providing tier II and other support per service requests. User must be willing to be on an On-Call rotation with other members of the Infrastructure Team every few weeks. Working Environment Onsite: No Relocation Assistance Offered This position offers an Onsite working environment. Meaning you will primarily work in a Cerner office or client site. If your current geographical location requires relocating, Cerner will not offer relocation assistance to the specified location. #LI-OnsiteQualifications Basic Qualifications- At least 6 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
- At least 1 year of system administration and/or system engineering work experience
- At least 5 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job, including:
- Microsoft SCCM and Intune co-management work experience
- MCSA or CCNA certification
- Healthcare IT background
- At least 3 years of System Administration and/or System Engineering work experience
- At least 1 year of experience creating and sustaining automated processes for Software delivery/packaging, operating system deployment and configuration management to distribute throughout enterprise SCCM hierarchy
- At least 1 year of experience architecting and managing orchestration capabilities using Autopilot and InTune for both on-premises and BYOD Device deployments.
- At least 1 year of experience managing MDM solutions covering Windows 10/11 as well as testing, coordinating and Windows OS lifecycle management
- At least 3 years of experience working in Microsoft SCCM and Intune co-management, Group Policy management and Powershell scripting
- Must reside in or around the Valhalla, NY area
- May be required to lift up to 20 lbs., i.e. server, network equipment
- Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
