Job Description

As a System Engineer II, you will provide system implementation, support, monitoring, and maintenance of Cerner's solutions and services. You will perform daily system operations tasks to verify system integrity and availability as well as perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware/OS upgrades, and resource optimization. You will also be responsible for implementing and monitoring applications and servers, respond to alarms in a timely manner to prevent client impact and performance degradation. As a member of this team, you will manage changes and project activities while communicating with impacted stakeholders and includes developing and deploying automation tools to optimize daily activities as well as complete assigned incident management tasks. In addition, you will deploy, setup, as well as maintain testing environment as well as be responsible for providing tier III and other support per service requests.

The Microsoft 365 Systems Engineer II will possess architect-level experience in M365 architecture, administration, and migration from On-Premises Microsoft solutions to M365, M365 Tenant to Tenant, and from 3rd party platforms to M365. You will have expert-level skills with Exchange, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, Active Directory, and other Microsoft Technologies. You will also utilize your experience and knowledge to guide the design, development, and deployment of solutions based on the M365 Architecture. Working Environment Onsite: No Relocation Assistance Offered This position offers an Onsite working environment. Meaning you will primarily work in a Cerner office or client site. If your current geographical location requires relocating, Cerner will not offer relocation assistance to the specified location. #LI-Onsite

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 6 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
    • At least 1 year system administration and/or system engineering work experience
    • At least 5 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:
      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • MCSA or CCNA certification
  • At least 2 years of Windows Active Directory work experience
  • At least 2 years of VMWare vCenter/ESX work experience
  • At least 3 years of O365 work experience
  • At least 1 year experience with Microsoft 365 Tenant Migration
  • At least 2 years of experience with Azure AD Connect and syncing objects from On-prem AD to Azure AD
  • At least 1 year of Azure AD Authentication, Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Conditional access policies work experience
  • At least 2 years experience with Dell Technologies such as Dell EMC Unity/VNX, Dell EMC ISILON and Dell EMC VxRail

    Expectations
    • Must reside in or around the Valhalla, NY area
    • May be required to lift up to 20 lbs., i.e. server, network equipment
    • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
    • Willing to travel up to 80% as needed
    • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
    • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
    The estimated rate of pay for this job is $83,520 - $125,280, which may vary based on education, experience, merit, geographic location, or other job-related factors.
