Job Description

As the DES Wage Subsidy Specialist, you will provide regular support to post placement support consultants and employers to ensure that eligibility and compliance measures are met, and ensure employers receive their Government and Internal wage subsidies. You will make regular contact both the Employer and the Post Placement Support consultants, working collaboratively with the wider atWork team to ensure that the client continues in employment and collecting evidence to support financial Wage Subsidy against program objectives. Included in the overall purpose for this position is to contribute to overall operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise closely with appropriate atWork Team members in relation to job seeker Wage Subsidy eligibility and issues;
  • Identify areas where alternative or additional training and support is required and facilitate the provision of this support, via referral where appropriate. Advise where Re-anchor may support the client and to maintain placement;
  • Support the achievement of outcomes via advice and support to employer to engage the wage subsidy; and
  • Ensure full compliance with Employment Services Contract by passing internal and external audits, as well as compliance with internal policies and procedures.

About You:

  • Experience in Disability / Employment Services (desirable);
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an outcome-based environment toward high performance results;
  • Exceptional organisational and time management abilities to manage competing priorities;
  • Experience keying and sourcing data into and from databases;
  • Experience using email, CRM and Databases, intranets and sourcing information via internet;
  • Cultural competency Skills (desirable).
