Job Description

As an Interface Engineer II you will consult with clients on current workflows and configuration, upgrade implications, system changes and enhancements and ongoing system maintenance. This position will include completing complex full-system solution build and maintaining accountability for build quality score and follow up actions. As a member of this team, you will apply and suggest improvements to implementation methodology and consult on complex configuration decisions. You will be responsible for developing and executing complex test plan and test script execution and note any changes in end user functionality. In this role, you will review new defects, write steps to test, outline information for change requests, and notify clients. Additionally, you will navigate across venues to resolve issues, propose mitigation strategies, and escalate when appropriate to solution and engagement leadership. Lastly, you will be contributing knowledge to internal and external resources to deliver problem identification and resolution. Working Environment REMOTE This position offers a Remote working environment. Meaning you can live and work in your current geographical location and work primarily remote. There could be times you will be requested to travel and/or visit a Cerner office or client site. #Remote

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 6 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
    • At least 1 year system administration and/or system engineering work experience
    • At least 5 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:
      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience, including:
        • 1 year of SQL and HL7 work experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of Cerner CCL work experience
  • At least 1 year of Cerner Open Port/Open Engine work experience
  • At least 1 year of linux work experience
  • At least 1 year sFTP work experience
  • At least 1 year Database architecture work experience
  • At least 1 year of fsi work experience

    Expectations
    • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
    • Willing to travel up to 10% as needed
    • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
    • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
    The estimated rate of pay for this job is $83,520-$125,280/yr., which may vary based on education, experience, merit, geographic location, or other job-related factors.
