(WI) Welder-2nd or 3rd ShiftJob DetailsJob LocationWisconsin Investcast - Watertown, WI DescriptionSet up and perform manual welding to repair castings to industry, internal and customer specifications using the GTAW weld process. Perform all upgrade operations as needed including set up, preheat, clamping, grinding, blending and visual inspection of welds, in order to restore castings to close tolerances determined by our customer standards. Work from Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS), drawings, sketches and specifications using a variety of measuring tools to check tolerances and interpass / preheat temperatures. Produce NDT quality welds using .045 to .093” dia. weld rod. Use and maintain proper weld rod per alloy. Based on experience, assist in the development of new techniques for repair of castings. Perform TPM, adjustments, and assure calibrations are current on welding power source and related equipment. Maintain processes, procedures and records in accordance with Nadcap requirements.Qualifications

Two to four years related experience.

Must be able to pass a position 1G Vee-Groove weld qualification in a 300 Series Stainless Steel weld plate. Qualification includes visual, PT, RT, bend and tensile testing of the weld.

Must be able to pass and maintain all required certifications including weld tests as required by ASME Sec.IX, MIL-STD-1595A, S9074-AQ-GIB-010/248 & 278, and AMS 2694A; or equivalent. (For example: Must be able to produce sound welds in accordance with the specifications listed above, welds subjected to one or more of the following tests: visual, PT, RT, bend, tensile, hardness, metallography, and charpy testing)

Must pass and maintain acceptable vision examination in accordance with the above specifications.

Must pass and maintain welder workmanship training and certification in accordance with the company program.

Must be able to read and retain information on work instructions specific to the weld program.
