Job Summary: Responsible for day-to-day and cyclical administration processes for our clients' pension plans. You will also be exposed to excellent growth and development opportunities when partnering with others in the overall planning of new projects and processes.
Summary of Responsibilities The person will be responsible for supporting human resource benefits administration platforms which involve ad-hoc requests and small projects from business users. Tasks will mainly consist of loading data of various formats and making data updates for Oracle databases. In addition second level support requests for automated processes may be assigned for investigation and resolution.
Responsibilities:
Work with data interfaces from clients and other benefits administration service companies
Write SQL scripts and/or Pentaho Data Integration transformations for applying batch data updates or generating data extracts
Setup, monitor, and support automated data transfers in a Wintel environment
Investigate unfamiliar processes and reverse engineer logic to correct defects
Create/update documentation to assist with support of data interfaces
Other duties as required
Skills and Experience:
5+ years experience and expert level knowledge/skills in developing and supporting client/server database applications
SQL, Oracle, DOS Batch, VB Script, PowerShell, Pentaho Data Integration (Kettle) or similar ETL tool, FTP, PGP, ActiveBatch or similar job scheduling software, Microsoft Office
Designing and building file transfers and data interfaces
Tracing and debugging complex batch processes
Able to wear multiple hats and learn new skills quickly through self-learning
Thrives in a fast paced environment
Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure and tight deadlines
Business oriented with great people skills and strong technical background
Experience working in a multi-location/multi-national/multi-discipline environment
Ability to interact with colleagues at remote locations
University bachelor degree in technology, engineering or mathematics
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
