Data ArchitectWe have a full time permanent position with a large, thriving client of ours in the White Plains, NY area for a Data Architect to design enterprise data models and integrations to meet the organization’s current and future business needs. The Data Architect will also guide project teams toward successful implementation of their designs.Responsibilities

  • Design efficient, flexible, and scalable data models and solutions to meet business needs for operational reporting, analytical reporting, integration, application development, and master data management
  • Validate data model designs through performance and load testing
  • Analyze data residing in source databases to establish relationships and integration points
  • Design data mapping and transformation from source to target
  • Create and maintain a detailed Enterprise Data Dictionary/Catalog
  • Establish, maintain, and communicate data standards and policies to ensure data integrity, consistency, security, and privacy
  • Ensure data quality and standards compliance by conducting technical data design reviews
  • Evaluate software tools for data integration, data management, and reporting
  • Assist with troubleshooting and performance tuning of SQL queries and ETL jobs
  • Analyze data to research anomalies, identify root cause, and recommend solutions for complex problems
  • Make decisions and set priorities consistent with the long-term interest of the organization and stakeholders

Qualifications:
  • BS in computer science or equivalent education desired
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant work experience (e.g. Data Architect, Data Modeler) with a strong data-centric background
  • Advanced data modeling experience supporting application and reporting needs (i.e. transactional and dimensional database schemas)
  • Advanced database skills and experience including analysis of execution plans, indexing, and stored procedure development (SQL Server preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of batch and real-time integration technologies
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, and master data management
  • Strong understanding of data visualization techniques using tools like Tableau
  • Experience with Embarcadero ER/Studio or a comparable data modeling tool
  • Experience with full software development life cycle
  • Data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning experience preferred
