What We'll Bring:We are looking for an experienced Data Engineering Manager to join our team of experienced leaders to manage our production environment in cloud. This role requires the candidate to be technically experienced in cloud technologies with background in analytics.

Your responsibilities will include managing team, projects or individuals loading, validating, processing client data, and producing Business Intelligence reporting on client data. You will work with leading cloud technologies to master the complex nuances in financial data received from customers.

What You'll Bring:
  • Technical leadership experience with 2+ years of experience managing and mentoring small teams
  • 5+ years of experience in ingestion of client data and turning it into insightful analytics and reports
  • Demonstrated strength in SQL and Python technologies
  • Experience with EMR, Hadoop, Hive, Spark or other big data technologies
  • Experience with AWS Cloud based services
  • Familiarity with Oracle, Postgres, VBA, and Redshift
  • Familiarity with concepts of data lake, cloud architecture, big data analytics (Kinesis, Athena)
  • Bachelor's and/ or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong and effective analytical, communication, creative and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment

We'd love to see:
  • Background or work experience in Retail Banking Industry
  • Pentaho (ETL tool) a plus
  • SQL server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • VB.Net, ASP.NET

Impact You'll Make:
  • Manage and mentor a team of experienced data engineers to work in a collaborative, fast paced onsite-offshore model to meet production data delivery or products for client consumption
  • Meet all operational SLAs to deliver high quality data in a timely and consistent manner
  • Manage existing data sources and production processes in the cloud for quality
  • Monitor and maintain the health and cost of production environment
  • Cultivate DevOps culture by encouraging cross training and providing continuous feedback to engineers
  • Onboard new Financial Institution and product portfolio to the study
  • Strong focus on Operational excellence driving collaboration between business units
  • Leverage latest cloud technologies to find and bring efficiency in existing products and processes
  • Support internal and external data users by providing technical and functional guidance
  • Communicate and drive conversations with Senior Leadership to drive growth
  • Generate and manage business KPI dashboards
  • Develop and Maintain a critical thinking environment in the team
