Our direct client a major utility firm, based in White Plains, NY is looking for a MS Power Platform developer for a contract assignment (6 months, with a potential to extend).
Description: This role will support the efforts of the business continuity / disaster recovery teams to provide operational situational awareness to both support staff and ITInfrastructure Leadership stakeholders. This will involve refining requirements and collaborating with staff to develop PowerBI dashboards and the supporting data models pulling data from various sources and types; Excel, SharePoint Lists, SQL Server databases, etc. Job Functions & Responsibilities The qualified candidate will be able to expertly assist in providing direction and/or developing PowerBI dashboard and foundational data model and transformations in collaboration with Sr. IT Resilience Manager. Provide subject matter expertise and assistance in developing PowerBI solutions based on requirements provided by the Business Continuity / DR team. Assess requirements and architecture and provide recommendations Incorporate the use of M365 and Microsoft Power Platform components Connect to multiple source data systems on varied platformsSkills Data Model development o incorporate multiple data source types; SharePoint Lists, Excel, MS SQL Server DBs, and other on-premise and cloud application data. Data Transformation o Develop Measures and DAX queries o Syncing SharePoint List lookup field to pertinent data columns for report display o Syncing People Picker fields to pertinent data columns for report display o Syncing MultiValue list columns to pertinent report display - i.e., Comment fields with related people and date/time data Visualization o Define and Refine slicers, filters, and Legends across Dashboard reports o Conditional formatting expertise o Desktop and mobile layouts Extensive experience in the Microsoft Power Platform MS PowerApps, MS Flow and specifically, PowerBI. Experience in the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of enterprise-scale apps. Keen understanding PowerApps formulas and development methods. Knowledge of Automating business processes with Microsoft Flow. Experience with API or rest services integrations.
