A major department at client is seeking a mature, responsible Security Analyst for a short term ( 6 month) multidimensional assignment within the Systems unit. The individual will work within the Security Operations team and will perform a variety of functions that support the team's mission & objectives.In particular, the candidate will provide Level 1 / Tier 1 Technical Support to the department's user population. As part of this function, the Security Analyst will investigate, resolve and / or escalate reported issues to appropriate stakeholders and / or departments. The candidate will field department-level help desk calls, respond to / investigate reported issues, perform follow-up and track issues to closure.
Additionally, as part of this assignment, the candidate will assist with aspects of the Security Assessment process for the department's third-party vendors and partners. The candidate will work with respective Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to facilitate 3rd party security assessments by organizing, preparing and evaluating documentation. Also, as part of this function, the Security Analyst may also track, report and follow up on open issues resulting from corporate security assessments.Furthermore, the candidate will support other IT Security Related projects, initiatives and/or functions as needed such as:Assist with System Access RecertificationsDevelop and/or Update Security Related DocumentationDevelop and/or Update Management Level Risk ReportsAssist with Security Monitoring ActivitiesAssist with Business Continuity Plan Maintenance ActivitiesAssist with Data Privacy and Protection Projects and/or InitiativesRequirementsTo be successful in this role, the candidate should be reliable, have prior education and/or experience within the area of technical support, networking, operating systems and information security administration and/or equivalent certifications / designations such as MCSE, CCNA, A+, Network+, Security+, etc. Ideal candidate will have a 4 year college degree in a STEM field (Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems, etc) as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail is a must for success in this role. Also candidate should have an understanding of basic Security protocols (TLS, SSL, SSH, etc).In particular, the ideal candidate should have the following:Certification in any of the following : Network+, CCNA or Equivalent.At least 1 Information Security Certification (Security+, CISSP, CEH, CySA+ or Equivalent).At least 3 years of related experience.Knowledge of common security Tools, Techniques and Technologies (IDS, Firewall, SIEM, DLP etc)Knowledge of Information Security Frameworks including PCI, NIST, ISO, etcKnowledge of common operating systems (Windows, Linux, iOS, Android, etc)Knowledge of network protocols and servicesStrong written and oral communication SkillsStrong Attention to DetailVacancy expired!
