At IBM, you will use the latest software development tools, techniques and approaches and work with leading minds in the industry to build solutions you can be proud of.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking candidates with proven interest and experience in implementing innovative software solutions and applications. You will work in close collaboration with other researchers and engineers to create, maintain and support world-class applications and/or infrastructure. You will also deliver production level-code to support the commercialization of the resulting assets. Demonstrated communication skills are essential.Candidates should have basic knowledge in one or more of the following skills:Programming skills (C/C, Java, Python, Javascript, Node.js, etc.)Software engineering practices including agile techniquesBuilding cloud applications using APIs and servicesSystem building/debugging/testing skillsMachine learning techniques and machine learning toolkits such as R, scikit-learn, Theano, Caffe, TorchProgramming on GPUsScale-out programming (e.g. MPI)Candidates must be willing to work in any of the following locations: Albany, NY; Almaden, CA; Austin, TX; Cambridge, MA;Yorktown Heights, NY. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related area is required.Required Technical and Professional ExpertiseAt least 3 years of experience coding and debugging in one or more general purpose programming languages including, but not limited to: Python, Java, Javascript, C/C Experience in building full-stack web applications

Basic understanding of design patterns

Basic understanding of software engineering

Ability to transfer project requirements into robust software components and architectures

Preferred Technical and Professional ExpertiseExperience with standard machine learning techniques and machine learning tools and frameworks including but not limited to: TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn etc.

Experience in backend storage technologies such as SQL and Non-SQL databases (Postgres, MongoDB, Cloudant, ElasticSearch etc.)

Experience in web application development and frameworks including HTML, CSS and JavaScript, JQuery, React, Flask, Node.js etc.

Experience in Kubernetes CI/CD tools and operators, IBM Cloud and machine learning training pipelines

Experience analyzing large scale data from a variety of sources

Design, validation, and characterization of algorithms and/or systems
